About Samantha Yurkosky
Samantha began her personal journey with Chinese medicine over 15 years ago, turning to acupuncture for migraines when modern treatments had failed. After countless medications, tests, and specialists resulting in little to no change, acupuncture eradicated the migraines after a handful of treatments, with the results lasting to this day. Having studied East Asian philosophy in college, Samantha was drawn to synthesize her theoretical knowledge with the medical skills that had proven to be so highly effective, a combination which is both elegant and extremely useful in today’s modern world.
Samantha continues her education under the mentorship of Master Practitioner Timothy Aitkin LAc, who practices a tradition of acupuncture rooted in ancient Taoist philosophy and classical Chinese pulse diagnosis. By using this style of diagnosis and treatment, Samantha works with patients targeting deeper issues of depression, panic attacks, chronic pain, and healing past trauma. She also uses the subtle information found in the pulse to inform treatments for general wellness and preventative health.
Samantha is licensed in New York state and an NCCAOM Diplomat.
